Washington, DC
My feet have recovered. I am now fully rested. And even my family is used to having me around again (no more special attention). But I am not the same...this trip has changed me. I learned so much on many levels. My gratitude is enormous and my memories, lasting. Losing my best photos was a blow to me, yet I am learning to make lemonade out of my lesser, lemon pictures. Here's a sample...a quick shot of the capitol as we were leaving to go back to a museum. Later, there will be more.

PBS Native American Series
I came across this series focusing on Native American issues which will air this week. Sounds interesting...will use the DVR if I can wrestle it away from my husband:
We Shall Remain, a five-part PBS American Experience series, looks at American history through Native American eyes. It focuses on five pivotal moments when Native Americans "used diplomacy, spirituality and politics to push back," says senior producer Sharon Grimberg. Episodes (all 9 ET/PT, times may vary)
Four days and counting!!!

Welcome to a Space about Loving the Art of Teaching!
Are you a teacher tired of hearing complaining in the halls? Tired of the whining? Sick of the sighs, moans, and groans? And I'm not talking about the kids! I'm talking about the incessant dissatisfaction bellowed daily in the halls by so many of my colleagues. I invite you to come here to bask in good news, inspiring thoughts, and a general cleansing of all that is negative in our profession. It's great therapy for me to write this and I thought that if reading my stories from a classroom offer insight, humor, ideas and such...then I'll share. I would love to hear about other's experiences, too.
